MY BIOGRAPHY (FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE COLOURS)

This will be no classic biography with dry facts such as when I was born or how many exhibitions I had. Although I  provide you below with this information I do not consider it the most important.

I was born on the planet of Earth, in a place which was called the triangle of death – in Poland, specifically in Upper Silesia.

What I remember from that place is a space devoid of colour, where everything was grey and black.

I don’t remember the faces of people from that world of grey and black but I wouldn’t expect them to differ much from the black and grey surroundings. Even snow, once it fell on the ground, was soon covered in a black soot. Only when my family moved to Lower Silesia, to Wrocław, I could finally see white snow.

Although the dominant colour of the communist Poland was grey, I was gradually discovering the miracle of colours present in nature. Unfortunately, as a child raised in urban areas I had a rare access to nature.

My first adventure with colours started when I went to Sweden as a young girl. That beautiful, impeccable and colourful Scandinavian surrounding taught me to view the world through a perspective of colour.

Our life offers us many winding paths before finally leading us to our destination. And it’s been a long time since I poured the colours of my soul onto the canvas. First I had other tasks to tackle such us the upbringing of children and pursuing education of other kind than one related to art.

But I couldn’t escape my destiny which is the song of my soul and its colourful expression on the canvas.
